Remi Tinubu, Ex-Gov Lawal, Others Honoured with Projects in Kwara

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has honoured several prominent Nigerians by naming iconic projects after them. The honorees include the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who will have the multibillion-naira Civil Service Clinic project named in her honour.

Other notable individuals who will have projects named after them include Late Rear Admiral Muhammed Alabi Lawal, who governed the state from 1999 to 2003 who will have the new state secretariat named after him.

Amina Ndalolo, a renowned figure from Kwara North, who will have the ICT Centre at the Kwara State University of Education bear her name. The Executive Ward at the Kwara State Teaching Hospital will be named after the late Dr. Amuda Aluko, a prominent physician and politician.

In addition, several other projects will be named after notable individuals, including:

– The first state secretariat, which will be named after Brigadier General David Bamigboye, the first military administrator of the old Kwara State.
– The Kwara State Stadium Complex, which will be named after Major-General George Agbazika Innih.
– The main bowl of the stadium, which will be named after Rashidi Yekini, a renowned football legend.

Other projects that will be named after notable individuals include the Table Tennis Arena, which will be named after Atanda Musa (Manza Musa); the Indoor Sports Hall, which will be named after Gabriel Babatunde Ladipo; and the Squash Court, which will be named after Coach Bolakale Mogaji.

Senator Tinubu will inaugurate the projects during her official visit to Kwara State from January 28 to 30, 2025.
