The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn into Group C of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The draw, which took place on Monday, 27th January 2025, has set up a thrilling group stage encounter for the Nigerian national team. Tunisia, ranked among the top teams in Africa, will pose a significant challenge to the Super Eagles, while Uganda and Tanzania will also be looking to cause upsets.
The 2025 AFCON is scheduled to take place from 21st of December 2025 to 18th of January 2026 in Morocco. The Super Eagles will be seeking to improve on their recent performances in the tournament, where they have failed to replicate their past successes.
With a tough group stage ahead, the Nigerian team will need to be at their best to progress to the knockout stages of the competition. The new Coach, Eric Chelle and his team will have to work hard to prepare for the challenges ahead and make the country proud.
