Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has officially opened its application portal for teaching jobs, inviting eligible candidates to apply from February 5th to 14th, 2025.
To ensure a smooth application process, TESCOM Chairman Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar urges applicants to carefully read through the portal for guidance. The commission advises applicants to read the initial press statement on the recruitment process, which is available on the portal for reference.
Applicants are reminded that only those with a university degree in relevant subject areas are eligible to apply. Holders of NCE without a university degree are not qualified to apply.
According to Abubakar, the selection process will involve several stages, including:
– Computer-Based Test (CBT): Applicants who meet the initial recruitment criteria will be invited for a CBT at a center closest to their local government of residence.
– Interviews: Candidates who pass the CBT will be invited for interviews.
– Drug Tests and Verification: Successful candidates will undergo drug tests at approved NDLEA centers and other verification exercises before receiving employment letters.
The commission emphasizes that the selection process will prioritize qualification, competence, employability, and availability to work in rural areas where teachers are mostly needed.
