In a dramatic turn of events, Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned himself in to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba. Portable, known for his hit songs and rascal lifestyle, arrived at the SCID office earlier today, accompanied by his legal team and a few associates. The singer, who has been at the center of several controversies in recent months, had been evading authorities since the warrant for his arrest was issued.

The Nigerian Police Command had earlier urged Portable to surrender himself, warning that failure to do so would lead to a manhunt. The specifics of the charges against him may imclude but not limited to recent public altercations and alleged breaches of the law in Ogun.

In a brief statement to the press outside the SCID office, Portable’s lawyer assured the public of his client’s cooperation with the authorities. “Portable is here to clear his name and address any allegations. We trust the legal process and urge the public to refrain from speculation,” the lawyer said.

The news of Portable’s surrender has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with fans expressing support for the artist while others call for accountability. Portable, who rose to fame with his breakout single “Zazoo Zeh,” has often been in the spotlight for both his music and his controversial behaviour.
