Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq has re-appointed Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed as Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic for a second term. This decision recognizes Dr. Muhammed’s outstanding achievements and unwavering dedication to enhancing education standards at the polytechnic.
During his first term, Dr. Muhammed implemented various initiatives, including prompt payment of staff salaries, industrial collaborations, and infrastructure development. He also maintained peace on campus and ensured the polytechnic remained cult-free.
Dr. Muhammed was first appointed Rector in 2019, succeeding Alhaji Mas’ud Elelu. He holds two doctorate degrees, including one in Metallurgical and Material Science from Witwatersrand University, South Africa. Prior to his appointment, he served as Deputy Rector (Academics) at the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State.
