The University of Ilorin Alumni Association recently held a prestigious luncheon and awards ceremony to honour distinguished alumni and recognize top-performing students. Among the notable awardees were Engr. Musibau Ayodele Abioye, Managing Director of BUA Foods Plc, and Engr. Morenikeji Ayodele Aniye, CEO and Founder of Hotspot Network Limited.
Engr. Musibau Ayodele Abioye who graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (1989 set) is being celebrated for his leadership and innovative contributions to Nigeria’s industrial landscape, with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain management.
Meanwhile, Engr. Morenikeji Ayodele Aniye who finished from Electrical Engineering (1999 set) is being recognized for his efforts in expanding wireless networks to rural communities through Hotspot Network Limited, showcasing his expertise in telecommunications with over two decades of experience.
The event highlighted the importance of recognizing outstanding achievements and nurturing future talents. Professor AbdulRazaq Olubusuyi Kilani, President of the UNILORIN Alumni Association, emphasized the association’s commitment to supporting excellence. Vice-Chancellor Professor Wahab Egbewole thanked the organizers and urged continued unity among alumni.
Engr. Abioye expressed gratitude on behalf of the awardees, pledging continued support for initiatives advancing the university’s goals. The ceremony reinforced the university’s legacy of producing exceptional graduates making meaningful contributions to society.
