The management and students of Anifowoshe Community Junior Secondary School, Ilorin, are set to hold a grand retirement and thanksgiving ceremony in honour of Alhaja Faosat Titilayo Dasuki, the school’s pioneering principal.
Alhaja Dasuki is retiring after dedicating over 30 years of service to the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). Her remarkable tenure has left an indelible mark on the school and the community.
According to the new principal of the school, Alhaja Adamoh Baba Sahid, the ceremony is a fitting tribute to Alhaja Dasuki’s selfless service and outstanding contributions to the school. “She has laid a solid foundation for our school’s future, and it’s essential we celebrate her remarkable achievement,” Alhaja Sahid said.
Alhaja Dasuki’s illustrious career spans several schools in Ilorin, including Baptist LGEA Surulere, Ansarul-Islam LGEA, Kuntu, and CAC Junior Secondary School, Yidi Road Ilorin, where she served as a counsellor. She also held the position of Vice Principal at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth School, Ilorin, before being appointed as the Pioneer Principal of Anifowoshe Community Junior Secondary School.
Alhaja Dasuki officially retired on September 15, 2024. The retirement and thanksgiving ceremony to celebrate her remarkable legacy and dedication to education will hold tomorrow Wednesday 11th of December, 2024 at the host community hall, Pakata Area Development Association Hall beside Government Girls’ Day Secondary School, Pakata, Ipata Oloje Area,Ilorin.
Alhaja Dasuki was recently honoured by the host community with an award of excellence for her dedication to educational development in the Pakata area, especially in ensuring Anifowoshe Community Junior Secondary School has a strong foundation being the pioneer principal.
