ASKOMP Secretary, Oyelola, Joins NGIJ Vice Presidential Race, Picks Nomination Form
Oyewale Oyelola, former Registrar of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists (NGIJ) and current Managing Editor of FactualTimes, has obtained a nomination form to contest for the position of Vice President 1 in the upcoming 2024 NGIJ elections.
Following the collection of his nomination form on Thursday, Oyelola, who also serves as Secretary of the Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP), spoke with journalists and reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with the executive team to drive progress and advancement in the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists (NGIJ).
Highlighting his accomplishments as Registrar, a position he held for two terms from July 2020 to July 2024, the Media Entrepreneur noted that the guild experienced significant growth in membership during his tenure.
Oyelola, who is now vying for the Vice President Administration and Communications position in the upcoming August 3 NGIJ Election, revealed that his campaign will be built around the #PRESS-UP mantra. He expressed gratitude to guild members nationwide for their unwavering support and solidarity throughout his tenure.
