Mallam Ayodeji Ismail, the Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter, has been named the new Media Officer for Kwara United FC, filling the vacancy left by Jimoh Bashir, who recently stepped down to take on the role of Coordinator at ABS Football Club.
According to analysts, the appointment of Ayodeji Ismail as Media Officer by Kwara United FC, a state-funded club, is a strategic move to enhance the team’s media presence and visibility as the new season approaches. With his extensive experience in the media industry, Ayodeji is well-equipped to excel in his new role and boost the club’s public image.
“Wale Obalola, Secretary of Kwara United FC, presented Ayodeji Ismail with his appointment letter at a brief media ceremony in Ilorin, stating, “We anticipate that Ayodeji Ismail’s extensive experience will significantly enhance our beloved club’s image.”
Ayodeji Ismail expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, acknowledging that it’s not just a personal assignment but also a responsibility entrusted to the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and the entire Kwara media community.
“We will approach this task with utmost seriousness and dedication, and I promise not to disappoint. The relationship between football and media is symbiotic, and I am grateful to the club management, led by Kumbi Titiloye, for their trust in me. I will not let them or Kwara United FC down,” he vowed.
