Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, former Minister for Youth and Sports Development, has officially resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to a letter obtained by this medium, Abdullahi stated that he had taken the time to think through his decision and came to the difficult conclusion to leave the party.
Abdullahi, a former strong ally of Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership for the privileges he enjoyed during his time as a member.
However, his resignation has sparked speculations that he may return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a party he previously served as national spokesman.
It’s worth noting that Abdullahi had previously resigned from the APC in 2018, citing incompatible values and principles. His decision to leave the PDP has raised eyebrows, with many wondering what prompted his departure.
As the political landscape continues to shift, one thing is certain – Abdullahi’s next move will be closely watched by Kwarans as momentum keeps growing strong on 2027 gubernatorial elections.
