EFCC Files New Charges Against Wanted Yahaya Bello

A shocking revelation has emerged detailing alleged high-end property acquisitions and financial transactions involving Yahaya Bello, the ex-Governor of Kogi State, and two other individuals.

According to documents submitted to the Federal High Court in Abuja, the allegations span several years, from 2016 to 2022, and involve properties in Abuja, Nigeria, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The alleged transactions include:

– 2016: N60 million property at Block 18 (337) Flat B, Gwelo Street, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja
– 2017: N310 million renovation of property at No. 9 Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja
– 2018: N100 million property at No. 1773 Guzape District, Abuja
– 2020: N920 million property at No. 2 Justice Chukwudifu Oputa Street, Asokoro, Abuja
– 2020: N550 million property at No. 1 Ikogosi Spring Close, Maitama District, Abuja
– 2020: N100 million property at No. A02/176 Block 488B, Lome Street, Wuse 1, Abuja
– 2020: N66 million property at No. 739 Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2
– 2021: Wired $556,000 to account No. 4266644272 at TD Bank, USA
– 2021: N650 million property at No. 2 Durban Street, Abuja
– 2021: Wired $570,000 to account No. 4266644272 at TD Bank, USA
– 2021: N100 million property at No. 1160 Cadastral Zone CO3, Gwarimpa District, Abuja
– 2022: N170 million property at Block D, Manzini Street, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja
– 2022: 5.7 million Dirhams property at Hotel Apartment Community, Dubai

These allegations raise questions about the sources of funding for these transactions and potential conflicts of interest. The ex-Governor is still wanted by the anti-graft agency.
