The former Senior Special Assistant on Rural Mobilization to Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Alhaji Musbau Esinrogunjo has emerged as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Ilorin West, ahead of the September 21 local government elections in the state.
Esinrogunjo secured 166 votes, defeating seven other aspirants in the PDP primary election held at De Niger Hotel, Ilorin earlier today. The election was observed by representatives from the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), security personnel, and other stakeholders.
Notably, Esinrogunjo was the PDP candidate in the contentious 2017 local government elections in Kwara State, and he was a prominent figure in the 2019 OTOGE revolution.
