The Federal Government has commenced the sale of 30,000 metric tonnes of milled rice to Nigerians at a subsidized price of N40,000 per 50-kilogram bag. The initiative, launched by Abubakar Kyari on Thursday in Abuja, aims to provide affordable food to citizens amidst economic challenges.
Kyari described the food intervention as “timely” and praised President Bola Tinubu for his directive to make rice available to Nigerians at a subsidized rate. “This kind gesture was made possible at the expense and directives of President Bola Tinubu, who does not want Nigerians to go to bed hungry,” Kyari said.
