The Federal Government has announced plans to hire 3,500 teachers for Federal Unity Colleges across the country. Dr. Yusuf Sununu, Minister of State for Education, made this revelation during a two-day National Stakeholders’ Forum on Senior Secondary Education in Nigeria.
According to Dr. Sununu, the Ministry of Education is working in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Service, the Federal Civil Service Commission, and other relevant government agencies to recruit the teaching staff. The move aims to enhance the quality of education in federal government colleges nationwide.
In addition to the recruitment, the Ministry has also organized extensive training and retraining programs for all staff in schools. This initiative is expected to further boost the quality of education and ensure that students receive the best possible learning experience.
The recruitment of 3,500 teachers is a significant step towards addressing the shortage of teaching staff in Federal Unity Colleges and improving the overall standard of education in Nigeria, Dr. Sununu said.
