A devastating fire outbreak has ravaged the popular Ita Amodu market located on Old-Yidi Road in Ilorin. According to eyewitness Azeez, the incident occurred when a truck loaded with foam caught fire after coming into contact with a live electrical wire.
“The fire started from the truck when it touched a live wire, and within minutes, it spread to nearby shops. It was devastating,” Azeez told InsiderNg.
As of the time of filing this report, firefighters were making concerted efforts to contain the blaze. However, another eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed frustration with the slow response time of the fire service.
“They initially told us they didn’t have water when we called them,” the eyewitness revealed to InsiderNg.
