A severe flood caused by heavy downpour has washed away a section of the Kano-Maiduguri expressway, leaving motorists stranded and disrupting transportation in the region. The incident occurred on Thursday, rendering the major highway impassable.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, visited the scene and emphasized the importance of the road, which connects the North-West and North-East parts of Nigeria. He assured residents and motorists that he would inform the Federal Government to seek immediate intervention.
Governor Mohammed expressed concern over the impact of the flood, which has disrupted travel and poses a threat to livelihoods. He called for swift action to repair the damaged road and immediate relief for those affected.
