The Forum of UNILORIN Former Students’ Union Presidents (FUFSUP) has expressed joy and congratulations to one of its members, Associate Professor Alex Morenikeji Akanmu, on his appointment as the Acting Dean of Student Affairs by the University of Ilorin management.
In a statement signed by the forum’s Secretary, Abdullateef Dasola Hussein, FUFSUP commended the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Wahab Egbewole, and the university management for selecting a highly qualified and dedicated member of their forum for the position.
The forum praised Prof Akanmu’s exceptional leadership skills, citing his past experience as President of the Students’ Union in the 2001/2002 academic session and his current role as Chairperson of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASSU), UNILORIN Chapter.
FUFSUP urged the Vice-Chancellor to continue his outstanding work, stating that the university is on the right path under his leadership.
This appointment is seen as a testament to Prof Akanmu’s commitment to the university and its community, and FUFSUP looks forward to his contributions in his new role.
