A high-level delegation representing Prof Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, former Minister of National Planning and current Director General of NILDS, paid a courtesy visit to Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. The visit, captured in photos, precedes Prof Sulaiman’s formal defection from the PDP to the APC.
According to reports, Prof Sulaiman, also known as AMANA, is set to join the APC. The meeting between his political allies and the governor is seen as a strategic move to solidify their position within the APC and pledge support to the state government.
The defection, expected to be formalized soon, is considered a significant boost to the APC in Kwara State. Dr Abdulwasiu Olayinka Tejidini, Director General of KWASSIP, welcomed the development, stating, “Our party, APC, is a big and progressive party. We’re blessed with a governor who sees everyone as family. We’re ready to welcome all on board, prioritizing Kwara’s development.
The governor’s warm reception of the delegation indicates the APC’s willingness to embrace high-profile defectors, further strengthening our party’s presence in the state.”
