The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has denied opposing Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo’s rumored presidential ambition.
Tinubu was said to be in tandem with the alleged onslaught on the Office of the Vice President by the Presidency cabal.
Unconfirmed reports had suggested that President Muhammadu Buhari in a recent meeting with Tinubu and a prominent chieftain of the APC, Bisi Akande, expressed displeasure with some actions of the Vice President while asking his guests to talk the VP into resigning.
The APC national leader was reported to have nodded along with the President’s request, stating that nothing was wrong with Osinbajo’s resignation if found culpable.
However, in his response to the report, Tinubu through his media aide, Tunde Rahman, described it as politicized and untrue.
“There is no truth in the allegation that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is against the Vice President. There is nothing stopping the Vice President from nursing a presidential ambition. If he wants to run, let him run.
“We are all watching and waiting. It is all a bundle of lies that Asiwaju Tinubu is unhappy about that. People are just politicising the situation. Tinubu cannot muscle his own boy in any way”, Rahman said.
Well, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion but l think this is another scheme of wanting to deprieve us of having Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s next president. My major argument is that if he is capable of nurturing classical administrators, this speaks volume of him apart from his past performances as Nucleus of NADECO & builder of modern Lagos, the initiator of the Osinbajo presidency project subtlety look for a way to deny Nigerians of probably a governance style that Asiwaju will proffer launching Nigeria to the first world class…..Nigerians,let crave for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) and avert a re- occurrence of what deprived us from getting the best of one of the best President Nigeria never had….Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo….Awooooo(Bolaji, Ibrahim Akanbi,From llorin).
Do you ever thought of the fact that his investment on NADECO as well as that on Buhari and several others are all in the quests of achieving welfarism for Nigerians…..and many more…..Nigerians,we missed Awo,lost MKO Abiola, please let’s grab this diamond opportunity,no other person can continue where Buhari will stop because he discovered him, when things went wrong,Buhari ran back to him and he mend the fence…….l rest my case…..Bolaji,Ibrahim Akanbi from llorin.
