A devastating petrol tanker explosion occurred yesterday in Majia Town of JigawaState, leaving a trail of death and destruction in its wake. The tragic incident claimed the lives of over 90 people and left 50 others hospitalized.
According to eyewitnesses, the tanker was involved in an accident, prompting a large crowd to gather around the vehicle in an attempt to collect spilled petrol. Unbeknownst to them, the tanker’s cargo was still highly volatile, and the situation quickly turned catastrophic.
“The people were scooping fuel from the tanker when suddenly it exploded,” said an eyewitness. “It was like a ball of fire. People were running for their lives, but it was too late for many.”
