The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KwSUBEB) has announced the recruitment of 1,600 teaching and non-teaching staff for public basic schools across the 16 local government areas of the state. The vacancies include 695 B.Ed degree holders, 605 NCE holders, 200 security guards, and 111 other non-teaching staff.
According to the Board’s Chairman, Prof Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, the recruitment exercise is aimed at filling vacancies created by retirements, deaths, or transfers. The process will be community-based, with recruitment taking place at the local government level or nearest communities where services are needed.
Successful candidates will be required to sign a 5-year bond, ensuring they remain in their assigned locations. The exercise aligns with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s commitment to strengthening education at the local level.
The recruitment process will last for three weeks, with a schedule to be released soon. The move is aimed at ensuring adequate educational resources and support for each community ahead of the 2024/2025 academic session resumption in September.
