The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has fixed dates for the conduct of its primaries for the forthcoming local government elections in the state scheduled for September 2024. The party approved Wednesday, 26th June for Councillorship primary elections and Thursday, 27th June for Chairmanship primary elections, respectively.
The party, according to a timetable and schedule of activities for the party primaries issued by its Publicity Secretary Olusegun Olusola, also released the fees payable by intending aspirants as nomination and expression of interest form fees.
Mr Olusola further added that for women and persons physically challenged, the party is granting 50% waiver from their nomination and expression of interest form fees.

The Kwara State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is pleased to announce the commencement of the sales of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for the forthcoming Local Government elections scheduled for September 21, 2024.
All intending aspirants are hereby notified that these forms are now available at the State Secretary’s office. The prices for the forms are as follows:
CHAIRMANSHIP:
– Expression of Interest Form: N20,000
– Nomination Form: N80,000
– Total N100,000
COUNCILLORSHIP:
– Expression of Interest Form: N5,000
– Nomination Form: N20,000
– Total N25,000

The sales of forms for those interested in Chairmanship and Councillorship seats will commence today, 22nd June 2024, and will close on 25th June 2024. By implication, all forms collected by aspirants must be filled and returned to the state office no later than Tuesday, 25th June 2024.
Additionally, FEMALE ASPIRANTS and the PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED are to pay 50% of the above rates for the nominations and the expressions of interest forms. This measure aims to encourage gender inclusions and deepen the inclusion of various strata of our society in the PDP’s programme for these elections.
