Alhaji Kayode Sulyman Yusuf Maja, a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, has passed away. Popularly known as Alhaji Sule Maja, he was a highly respected and beloved politician, renowned for his loyalty to Senator Bukola Saraki.
Maja had an illustrious career, serving in various key positions and distinguishing himself with exceptional performance. His notable roles included Special Adviser on Political Matters to former Governor Bukola Saraki and Chairman of the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission.
Reacting to his demise, Bishop Olusola Adewara, PDP’s Publicity Secretary in Kwara, described Maja as a loyal and honest leader who served the state meritoriously. Adewara prayed for Maja’s soul to rest in peace, saying, “May Allah be pleased with the soul of Baba Maja. He’s an embodiment of loyalty, honesty, patience, and capacity. Every leader needs Baba Maja beside him to succeed. Continue to rest in peace, Alhaji Kayode Suleiman Yusuf (Maja)”.
Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Press Officer on Local Matters to the former Senate President and a PDP stakeholder, also paid tribute to Maja. He described him as one of the finest politicians and a staunch follower of Saraki’s political dynasty, wishing him God’s forgiveness and praying for his admission to paradise.
