Kwara Poly SUG Addresses Police Brutality Incident, Seeks Justice

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Kwara State Polytechnic has issued a statement addressing the recent incident involving a student and members of the Police Force. The SUG President, Saheed Olalekan Ishola, expressed deep concern over the incident and assured students that the union is committed to ensuring justice prevails.

According to the statement, the SUG held a productive meeting with police authorities, which lasted over three hours, to discuss the incident and its root causes. The union urged students to remain calm and composed during this period, while promising to keep them updated on any developments.

The SUG also encouraged students with relevant information or concerns regarding the incident to reach out to the union, emphasizing its commitment to advocating for their safety and well-being.

The statement comes after a student was allegedly killed by police ofsparkedand there was outrage and concern within the polytechnic community. The SUG’s swift response aims to address the situation and ensure that justice is served.
