Kwara State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has elected its new leadership. Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar Danladi, Chairman of Kaiama Local Government, emerged as the Kwara State Chairman. The election, which was overseen by all 16 Local Government Chairmen in Kwara State, ensured a smooth and transparent process.
Other officials elected include:
– Vice Chairman: Hon. Nuhu Majeed Podo (Ilorin South Local Government)
– Secretary: Hon. Jolayemi Lanre Benjamin (Isin Local Government)
– Treasurer: Hon. Sheu AbdulRahaman Ladan (Ilorin West Local Government)
– Financial Secretary: Hon. Abdullahi Bello (Edu Local Government)
– State Public Relations Officer: Hon. Femi Yusuf (Ifelodun Local Government)
The ALGON Chairman, Hon. Abdulahi Abubakar, congratulated the new executives and appealed for a strong synergy between members to foster a unified front, ensuring that every local government experience growth and development.
