Kwara State Governor Donates 250 Computers to Igbaja CBT Centre

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has presented 250 sets of desktop computers to the Igbaja Computer Based Training (CBT) Centre in Ifelodun Local Government. The donation aims to support the Igbaja community and ease the process of sitting for JAMB and other CBT examinations for school children.

The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, stated that the intervention is focused on alleviating the challenges faced by students in the region during JAMB examinations. He emphasized the importance of education, calling it the “heartbeat of our administration.”

The Elese of Igbajaland, HRM, Oba Ahmed Awuni Arepo, and community leader, Elder Olaitan Oyin-Zubair, expressed their gratitude for the Governor’s gesture, highlighting the benefits of the facility for over 20 secondary schools in the area.

Students who spoke at the event also appreciated the Governor’s commitment to educational development, noting that the centre will reduce the burden of transportation and expenses incurred by their parents for external CBT exams.
