The Lagos Red Line Rail project begins partial operations today. The much-anticipated rail line, which has been under construction for several years, will initially offer limited services to commuters.
The Red Line Rail is a 37-kilometer rail route that will connect Agbado to Marina, passing through key locations such as Ikeja, Yaba, and Oyingbo. The project is part of the Lagos State Government’s efforts to revamp the city’s transportation infrastructure and reduce traffic congestion.
With the commencement of partial operations, the LASG says Lagos residents can expect a faster and more efficient way to travel within the city. The rail line is expected to eventually operate at full capacity, providing a reliable and convenient transportation option for millions of commuters.
