Hajiya Habi Dada Yar’adua, the mother of Nigeria’s late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, has passed away in Katsina.
Hajiya Dada was a highly respected figure in Nigerian society, known for her kindness, wisdom, and strong character. She was a constant source of support and guidance to her son, President Yar’adua, during his time in office.
President Yar’adua, who served as Nigeria’s President from 2007 until his passing in 2010, was widely admired for his leadership and vision. His mother’s influence on his life and presidency was well-documented, and she was often referred to as a pillar of strength and inspiration to him.
Hajiya Dada, a matriarch of unparalleled distinction, holds the unique honour of being the only woman in Nigeria to have nurtured a family of exceptional leaders, including:
