The Kwara State Police Command has announced restrictions on vehicular movement from 12:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2024, to ensure the security and smooth conduct of the Local Government Elections.
Exceptions will be made for essential service providers, electoral officials, accredited media personnel, observers, and emergency responders.
Residents are urged to comply with the directive, as violators will face legal consequences, according to Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ejire-Adeyemi Toun.
DSP Toun stated that Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya, reassures the public of his commitment to maintaining peace and order during the elections.
