NLC Insists on N250,000 Minimum Wage

Following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has reaffirmed its insistence on a minimum wage not below #250,000.

NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, has reiterated that the Labour will not budge from its demand, emphasizing that the current minimum wage remains at N250,000, with no adjustments or compromises made.

Although the Federal Government and Organised Private Sector have agreed on a minimum wage of N62,000, the labour movement remains unwavering in its demand for N250,000.

Comrade Ajaero clarified to newsmen that the discussion was merely exploratory, not a negotiation. He indicated that talks will resume next week, with labour’s stance remaining unchanged.
