NupekoTV Lafiagi has been honoured with an Award of Appreciation by the Initial Language Legacy and Culture (ILLEC) for its outstanding contributions to promoting the Nupe Language. This prestigious award recognizes NupekoTV’s dedication to preserving and promoting the Nupe Language, a vital part of the Nupe people’s cultural heritage.
The award ceremony, attended by dignitaries such as the Etsu Nupe, Alh. (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar CFR, and Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago, Turakin Nupe, celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Nupe people.
Other notable individuals honoured for their contributions to promoting the Nupe Language included Dr. (Mrs) Aishatu Gogo Ndayako, Permanent Secretary Ecological, and Pharm Yahaya Mayaki, Mayaki Nupe.
Adamu Idris Manarakis, founder and director of ILLEC, expressed gratitude to the awardees for their tireless efforts in promoting the Nupe Language. He commended NupekoTV Lafiagi for its commitment to preserving and promoting the language.
