The Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has unveiled the ‘National Youth Dialogue’ initiative, a comprehensive program aimed at fostering patriotism, unity, and entrepreneurial spirit among Nigerian youth. Speaking at a World Press Conference in Abuja, Olawande emphasized the ministry’s commitment to delivering opportunities for youth to thrive.
The two-day conference, themed “Youthful Voices – National Choices, Synergy in Action: Empowering Patriotic Entrepreneurs for a Sustainable Nigeria,” brought together youth leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to address challenges facing Nigerian youth, including a 33.3% unemployment rate.
Olawande highlighted five major thematic projects to be implemented across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas, designed to create lasting impact at both local and national levels. These projects focus on equipping youth with tools, knowledge, and opportunities to succeed in an increasingly complex world.
Co-Covener Oladele John Nihi emphasized the conference’s objectives: promoting patriotism, enhancing entrepreneurship, and fostering synergy among youth leaders and stakeholders. The initiative aims to contribute significantly to Nigeria’s socio-economic development by empowering youth to lead and innovate for a sustainable future.
