Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, has officially announced the commencement of petrol production at the Dangote Refinery, a landmark moment in Nigeria’s energy sector.
At a press conference, Dangote expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for allowing the sale of crude oil in Naira, a move that has enabled the refinery to begin production.
Boasting about the quality of his products, Dangote presented the first sample of petrol to the press, stating that “our diesel and petrol are the best in the world.” He highlighted the unique features of his Euro 5 diesel, which has less than 10 ppm, making it environmentally friendly and capable of extending the lifespan of engines and vehicles.
Dangote emphasized that the refinery’s state-of-the-art laboratory is the best in the world, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards.
The commencement of petrol production at the Dangote Refinery is expected to eliminate fuel queues in Nigeria, improve public health, and ensure a consistent supply to the market.
This milestone marks a significant achievement for Dangote and his team, who have worked tirelessly to bring the refinery to life. The impact on Nigeria’s economy and energy sector is expected to be profound, making Dangote Refinery a game-changer in the industry.
