The wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has passed away. Pastor Patience Umo Eno died on Thursday, September 26, 2024, after a brief illness.
Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, confirmed the sad news in a statement titled “Unexpected Sunset” released early Friday morning.
According to Ememobong, Pastor Patience Umo Eno passed away peacefully at a hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
“The family submits to the will of the Almighty and asks for the prayers and support of kind-hearted individuals during this difficult time,” the statement read.
The news has sent shockwaves throughout the state, with condolences pouring in from various quarters.
Governor Umo Eno and his family are currently receiving support and sympathy from the public as they navigate this challenging period.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course, the statement read.
