Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the former Secretary to the Kano State Government, has issued a stern warning to Governor Abba Yusuf and his political mentor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, threatening to reveal compromising information about them. Bichi, who was dismissed from his position in December 2024, along with five other commissioners, made this declaration while addressing his supporters on Thursday, shortly after his return from Saudi Arabia.
Bichi claimed to possess documents, voice recordings, and videos that could expose the truth about Yusuf and Kwankwaso. He stated, “We have documented everything from written to audio and video evidence.” Although he didn’t specify when he would release this information, Bichi hinted that it would be “at the appropriate time”.
This development comes amidst rising tensions between Governor Yusuf and Kwankwaso, who had reportedly instructed Yusuf to dismiss Bichi and another commissioner, Baba Dantiye. However, Yusuf allegedly refused to comply, leading to speculation about a potential rift between the two politicians.
Bichi’s threat has sparked curiosity, with many wondering what secrets he might reveal about Yusuf and Kwankwaso. The former SSG’s allegations of deception and betrayal have also raised questions about the leadership style of the two politicians.
