Saraki Donates N2 Million to Obbo Ile Central Mosque Construction

Former Senate President and Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has donated N2 million to support the construction and upgrading of the Central Mosque in Obbo Ile, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The donation was made during a fundraising event presided over by the Chief Imam of Obbo Ile, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulaiman, and attended by prominent traditional rulers, including HRH Olosi of Osi.

Dr. Saraki, represented by Alhaji Jimoh Balogun, expressed his appreciation to the Muslim community for their commitment to the propagation of Islam and pledged his continued support for the social and spiritual development of communities across Kwara State.

According to the Press Officer on Local Matters to the former Senate President, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, the donation underscores Dr. Saraki’s dedication to the welfare of the people, even after leaving office in 2019. His consistent efforts to uplift communities have solidified his position as a pivotal figure in Kwara State’s development, he said.
