The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation has launched an Agricultural Inputs Empowerment Project in the Kwara North District, aimed at supporting low-income farmers with essential inputs like fertilizers and herbicides.
At the distribution event on Monday, Regional Director Musa Aliyu stated that the project’s objectives are to improve farm produce, increase crop yields, and enhance food security and farmers’ incomes. The initiative is expected to benefit 986 primary beneficiaries and over 2,500 secondary beneficiaries across the district.
Beneficiaries, including the Agbesowapo Farmers’ Association and the National Women Society Council, have expressed gratitude for the support, promising to make good use of the inputs. The foundation will monitor progress and offer follow-up support to ensure the project’s success.
This initiative aligns with the foundation’s mission to positively impact vulnerable populations, focusing on health, education, youth empowerment, sports, and leadership mentoring.
