The Turaki Advocacy Group (TAG) has launched a program called Daily Spotlight to share the accomplishments of Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central Senatorial District. The goal is to highlight 365 projects, programs, and initiatives within 365 days of the Senator in office.
Here are the first seven spotlights:
Impact One: Construction of Al-Hikmah University-Onimalu Road (1 km), a strategic link between two wards in Ilorin West LGA, completed in record time (January-April 2024).
Impact Two: Championing the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria Act (Amendment) Bill 2024, seeking to establish the Federal College of Agriculture in Oke-Oyi, Kwara State.
Impact Three: Facilitating the construction of solar-powered classrooms with furniture and a store in Fate-Basin Junior Secondary school, Ilorin South LGA, through UBEC.
Impact Four: Construction of over 25 ultramodern motorized boreholes across four LGAs in Kwara Central Senatorial District, including one in Oke-Oyi/Oke-Ose Ward, Ilorin East LGA.
Impact Five: Distribution of 3,500 bags of high-quality fertilizers, valued at over N200 million, to farmers across the district on June 1, 2024.
Impact Six: Proposal of the Electronic Transaction Bill 2023, aiming to establish a secure framework for electronic transactions and promote the digital economy.
Impact Seven: The seventh impact highlights Senator Saliu Mustapha’s commitment to grassroots representation with the establishment of a fully furnished constituency office in Asa Local Government Area (LGA). Located at Water Side, Eiyenkorin, along Ogele area, this office is one of four constituency offices inaugurated by the Senator within the district, in addition to the existing head office on Fate Road in Ilorin South LGA.
This remarkable achievement marks a historic first in Kwara State, as no Senator has previously provided functional constituency offices for each local government area within their district. This move demonstrates Senator Saliu Mustapha’s dedication to bringing governance closer to the people and ensuring effective representation for his constituents.
