The Honourable Minister of State for Youth Development, Engr. Ayodele Olawanle, has announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the establishment of a ‘Youth House’ in Abuja, a landmark building that will serve as a hub for youth activities and social interaction.
The Minister made the announcement during a press conference, where he expressed gratitude to the President for his commitment to youth development. The Youth House is part of the President’s pro-youth agenda, aimed at bringing government closer to the youth.
In addition to the Youth House, the President has also approved the establishment of Youth Centres in all state capitals and Youth Green Houses in all 774 Local Government Areas. These initiatives aim to provide opportunities for youth development, promote fairness, and enhance inclusive implementation of youth programs and policies.
The Minister highlighted the President’s dedication to youth issues, citing various initiatives such as the Nigerian Youth Academy, Skill-up Artisans, Student Loan, and the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund. He assured that the President will continue to support youth initiatives and urged patience and support from the youth.
The establishment of the Youth House and expansion of youth initiatives nationwide is seen as a significant milestone in the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, demonstrating his commitment to empowering Nigerian youth.
