Some unknown gunmen have kidnapped Sir Aribibia Fubara, a Director of the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service (RIRS), in Port Harcourt. The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the gunmen arrived at the Marine Base area in a speedboat from the Okirika waterfront.

The Rivers State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the kidnappers, with tactical teams and the Anti-Kidnapping department working to secure the release of the victim. Although the captors have not yet established contact, the younger brother of the victim, Emmanuel Fubara, confirmed the incident and reported it to the police.

According to SP Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, “The command is aware of the incident, and the Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has directed tactical units to ensure the victim’s safe release. A manhunt is underway to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.”
