The Play with Kwara Youth (PWKY) initiative is on a mission to unite Kwara youths across political divides through sports. According to Yusuf Olaitan, a renowned radio sports analyst and founder of PWKY, the initiative aims to bring young people together, promote peace, and build meaningful networks.
Speaking at the Kwara State Polytechnic SUG’s Sports Summit, held on Wednesday at the Mohammed Lawal Auditorium, Olaitan explained that the initiative serves as a platform for young people to showcase their talents and build meaningful networks.
He noted that the last political transition had created tensions and divisions among Kwara youths, inspiring him to launch PWKY as a unifying force. “It was tense during the last political transition, which divided some of the Kwara youths.
I decided to create a formidable platform to bring us all together, and that gave birth to the Play with Kwara Youth initiative to bridge the gap of political differences,” he remarked.
Olaitan hinted that the 4th edition of the project is set to be sustained to ensure the continued promotion of peace and tranquility among the youth in Kwara State.
