The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) has announced its nominations for the 2024 edition, and Femi Adebayo’s film, ‘Jagun Jagun’, has received an impressive five nominations. The categories include Best Producer, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Nollywood Film, Best International Drama, and Best Director. The awards ceremony will take place in Canada, recognizing excellence in Nollywood filmmaking.
‘Jagun Jagun’ (The Warrior) is a 2023 Netflix original film, an epic Yoruba-language production helmed by producer Femi Adebayo. The film’s direction was a collaborative effort between veteran director Adebayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo, Femi’s younger brother. This powerful collaboration brought the thrilling story to life, captivating audiences worldwide.
Femi Adebayo took to his X handle to share the exciting news, expressing his immense joy and pride as he announced that his film, ‘Jagun Jagun’, has been nominated in five categories at the prestigious 2024 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.
