The application filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to inspect smart card readers and the server used in the February 23 presidential election, has been declined by the presidential election petition tribunal.
In a unanimous decision by the five-member panel of justices, the panel delivered ruling today, dismissing the application.
The chairman of the tribunal, Justice Mohammed Garba, in his ruling, disclosed that “the matter being a substantive issue for determination by the tribunal cannot be determined at the interlocutory stage.”
