Popular Nigerian singer and Afro-fusion artist, Damini Ogulu (Burna Boy) has won the 2019 BET ‘Best International Act’ award, which held at the Microsoft Theatre in California.
Burna Boy, who was nominated alongside Mr Eazi (Nigeria), Giggs (UK), Dosseh (France), Dave (UK), AKA (South Africa) and Aya Nakamura (France), joins Wizkid, Tuface, Davido, D’banj and Iceprince as the only winners of the award from Nigeria.
The Award for Best International Act is given every year to honour the outstanding achievements of international artists.
Burna Boy resuscitated his career in 2018 with back-to-back hit singles that endeared him to music lovers around the world and enjoyed heavy rotation among media houses.
