The Super Eagles of Nigeria will battle the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia for bronze, tonight, at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles will be eyeing its seventh bronze medal after failing to secure a place in the final, following Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Algeria.
Nigeria has won the bronze medal more than any country in the history of the AFCON.
Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr has disclosed that third choice goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho will man the post in tonight’s encounter ahead of Daniel Akpeyi who was heavily criticized by fans after the hurtful loss to Algeria.
Victor Osimhen is also expected to see game time, having failed to feature in any of the matches so far in the competition.
Captain John Mikel Obi who is set to retire after the tournament has been ruled out of the encounter following fresh injury setback.
The game kicks off at 8pm Nigerian time.
