Mr Femi Falana (SAN), counsel to detained convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, has confirmed that the recent order by the Federal High Court Abuja, granting the Department of State Services (DSS) permission to detain the renowned activist for 45 days will be appealed.
Mr Falana, while speaking to newsmen yesterday, revealed that Sowore who already had a premonition of Thursday’s ruling, instructed him on Wednesday to file an application challenging it.
He said: “I saw him yesterday (Wednesday) when he had already envisaged that the order for his detention would be granted. So he had already given us the instruction to challenge it.”
Meanwhile, Mr Sowore’s continued detention by the DSS, has generated lots of public outcry, with many organizations faulting yesterday’s ruling by the court and some others calling for his unconditional release.
Omoyele Sowore is the National Chairman and Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC).
