A former governorship candidate of the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party, ANRP, in Kwara State in the 2019 election, Dr. Abdulmumin Yinka Ajia, has fired back at the state ANRP Chairman, Ade Alabi over claims that he decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC, six days to the guber election for pecuniary gains and self-elevation.
In a chat with INSIDER on Wednesday, Alabi had alleged that Dr. Ajia was an opportunist who intended using the ANRP platform to negotiate and manipulate his way to self-elevation.
In his reaction however, Dr. Ajia said he believes the Kwara ANRP boss is suffering from psychological projection and trying to transfer unto him (Ajia) the attributes that represent his person.
“The things he said about me, I’d say, it takes one to know one. It’s more like when you project something on to someone else, that’s exactly who you are. There was no need for me to negotiate for anything because that’s not who I am. I’m not in this for pecuniary gains or to elevate myself in any way.
“A lot of the proposals I put forward to Ade Alabi, he agreed with. He said no problem. I never knew I was dealing with a desperate, lying, unethical charlatan”, the former ANRP guber candidate said.
Among other things, Dr. Ajia also revealed how his party chairman at the time, Ade Alabi, forwarded fake names of aspirants to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Read full interview here.
