September 8th, 2024, will be remembered as a day of hope and determination for the people of Owode/Onire constituency. Honourable Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu, in partnership with Rukayat Equity and Development Initiative (REDI), hosted a symbolic Empowerment Program for artisans, traders, farmers, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) in the community.
The event, attended by dignitaries including Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s representative, Alhaji Saadu Salaudeen, and other top government officials, marked a significant milestone in the journey toward inclusive growth and economic development.
Beneficiaries from the 9 wards of the constituency proudly received tools of their trade, symbolizing their readiness to build a better future. Honourable Rukayat Shittu also presented cash support to constituents, acknowledging their dedication and resilience in the face of challenges.
The program aimed to promote economic empowerment, social inclusion, and community development. With the support of government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders, the initiative is expected to have a lasting impact on the lives of beneficiaries.
