AAC expels Sowore weeks after reinstating him as National Chairman

By David Olalekan.

The African Action Alliance (AAC) has expelled its National Chairman and Presidential Candidate in the 2019 general elections, Omoyele Sowore, from the party.

Sowore, who was recently reinstated as National Chairman of the AAC, after being earlier suspended, was expelled along with 28 other national officers of the party, during its ongoing national convention in Owerri, Imo State.

The party announced Leonard Nzenwa as its new National Chairman.

Omoyele Sowore is currently being held by the Department of State Services (DSS) on acts of terrorism, following his call for a revolution in the country.

Recall that the Federal High Court, Abuja, yesterday, granted the request of the DSS, who sought the court’s permission to detain Sowore for 45 days pending the outcome of its investigation.
