Over 26 people were on Monday burnt to death and several others injured, following a tanker explosion which occurred along Ahumbe-Makurdi road in Benue State.
Some sources at the scene revealed that the loaded tanker fell, splattering its content on the road when excited villagers rushed to the scene to scoop as much product as they could before the tragedy happened.
